What does a restroom trailer need on site?
A restroom trailer needs level ground, a standard 110-volt outlet and a clear path for the tow vehicle. A 2-stall trailer needs a pad about 10 by 20 feet; a 3-stall needs about 10 by 25 feet. Water can come from a garden hose or from our onboard tank, which we fill.
- Level ground: a slope over a few inches needs blocking. Send photos.
- Power: a 20-amp outlet within about 100 feet, or a generator we can quote.
- Access: about 10 feet wide and 13 feet high, with room to back in.
- Not a fit: soft lawn after rain, steep driveways, or sites a truck cannot reach.

Restroom trailer vs. porta potty: which fits your event?
Choose a restroom trailer for weddings, formal parties and VIP areas with level ground and power. Choose flushing porta potties when the site is rough, far from power, or the budget is tight. A 2-stall trailer serves about 100 guests over 5 hours; larger crowds pair a trailer with portable units.
| Restroom trailer | Flushing porta potty | |
|---|---|---|
| Toilets | China, real flush | Plastic, foot-pump flush |
| Sinks | Vanity sinks, mirrors, lights | Small foot-pump sink |
| Needs | Level pad, power, truck access | 4 × 4 ft flat spot |
| Lead time | 2–8 weeks for weekends | Often same day |
| Best for | Weddings, VIP, long formal events | Parties, rough or remote sites |

Restroom trailer questions
How far ahead should I book a restroom trailer in Oxnard?
Book 4 to 8 weeks ahead for May through October weekends and 2 weeks ahead for other dates. Trailers are limited, so weekend dates go first. Weekday rentals can sometimes be booked within days.
Does a restroom trailer need water?
It can use a garden hose, or it can run from its onboard fresh-water tank that we fill. Waste goes to the trailer's holding tank, which we pump after the event or during long rentals.
Can a restroom trailer go on grass?
Yes, on firm, dry, level lawn. Wet or soft lawn can rut under the wheels, and we may need plywood or a nearby hard surface. Send photos and we will tell you before you book.
Is there an attendant?
An attendant is available on request for formal events. The attendant restocks paper and soap, wipes surfaces and keeps lines moving.
Are restroom trailers wheelchair accessible?
Most trailers have steps, so they are not wheelchair accessible. Pair a trailer with a wheelchair-accessible portable unit placed on firm, level ground nearby.
